Vacant Moments is the joint effort of a web development
company (Cyber Interchange Australia) and a licensed property
owner/travel agent (Mountain Magic Travel)
We have all had experience with either making
travel bookings on behalf of ourselves or managing holiday
accommodation or making travel bookings on behalf of clients.
The thing we all had in common was FRUSTRATION.
We had all experienced problems with travel bookings
at some stage. These included
- being told a whole resort was sold out when
accommodation was available
- trying to find accommodation for groups and
requiring special bed configuration
- finding availability was well out of date
- having to repeat enter details for every modified search
- not being sure if the information was getting
to the property owner or not when we would receive no answer
About Cyber Interchange Australia
At CIAu we have been creating web sites for our clients
since 1995. We are keen travelers and bring the guest's perspective
to the web site. We wanted to create a site that was easy to
use yet sufficiently flexible to fulfill the differing needs
of guests searching for accommodation. Amongst our existing
clients are many property owners which ensures our knowledge
of the accommodation industry. We realise how hard it is to
update web sites and because we deal with clients often with
little
computer experience, we know how important it is to create
a property maintenance facility that is easy to use.
About Mountain Magic Travel
As a wholesale/retail travel agency and tour operator,
we at MMT have been sending travelers around the world since
1981. We understand all perspectives of the accommodation industry
as not only are we constantly searching the globe for suitable
properties for our clients we also deal with people wishing
to book properties that we own or manage.
We have experienced the frustration of spending hours searching
the net for the “perfect” venue and the annoyance
at finding inaccurate property details due to updating done
by a third party.
As an owner, we understand how desirable it is to be able
to update or change property details/rates, or offer a
last minute
special at a moment’s notice, without having to refer
to another organization or web developer to do it for you. As an agent, we understand the irritation of dealing with
a third party who is not familiar with the property and
cannot answer detailed questions.
As incorrigible travelers we have all experienced the frustration
of using internet booking sites which have not been sufficiently
developed and resent having to waste hours for just 1
simple booking request.
