Vacant Moments upholds an individual’s right to privacy and any information of a private nature given to us will be handled responsibly. By providing your personal information you agree and consent to the collection, use, disclosure, storage and holding of your personal information in accordance with this privacy policy.

Vacant Moments will never pass on your personal details to a third party, only the information you supply on a booking request form will be passed on to the accommodation supplier.

Newsletters
Vacant Moments sends periodic newsletters to subscribers only if requested by said subscribers who must add their e-mail address to the "subscribe" box that appears throughout the Vacant Moments web site.

Subscribers can unsubscribe from the Vacant Moments newsletter at any time by sending and email with unsubscribe in the subject to unsubscribe@vacantmoments.com or click here to access the unsubscribe form.

Emails
Vacant Moments does not send unsolicited e-mail messages, nor do we purchase, sell or use third party distribution lists. Emails are only sent to our members, subscribers or a property that has been referred to us. If your property has been referred to us we will send an automated introductory email to your notifying you of the referral.

Property Members
All property members are automatically sent account renewals and member newsletters. These newsletters may include general site news and important site information such as information about scheduled upgrades etc.

The information we collect
Guest Information: When you make a booking request via Vacant Moments we need to collect certain information so that the accommodation provider can respond to your booking enquiry. By information we mean your name, mailing address, email address, travel dates, room configuration, etc.

Owner/Tour Operator/Affiliate Information: Property Member Details are password protected and all the personal information kept on our server can be checked and/or changed at any time by logging in with your Log In name and password at www.vacantmoments.com/login.asp

Individual's details and member's details are not used for any other purpose. Details are only supplied to a third party supplier when it is required for booking requests. You accept that some accommodation suppliers are located overseas and may not have in place equivalent privacy policies.

Credit Card Information
Vacant Moments uses SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) including 128bit encryption for any credit card information we collect. Your credit card details are only used to pay for a property owner’s membership. We do not collect credit card details for accommodation deposits or bookings. They are not used for any other purpose. Details are not supplied to a third party.

Other people’s information provided by you
When you use our property referral or "email a friend" service you'll be providing details of people who may never have visited this site. Vacant Moments will not disclose the recipient addresses and will not send them any promotional information other than the specific email i.e. the referral notification.

Should any recipient of our referral email not wish to join Vacant Moments, they can do so from the auto-reply welcome email, or by contacting our customer service department and they will not receive any further material from Vacant Moments.

The Vacant Moments web site contains links to other sites. Please be aware that Vacant Moments is not responsible for the privacy policies of these other sites. We encourage our users to be aware, when they leave our site, to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information.
