About Wongarra
Wongarra overlooks the magnificent blue of Bass Strait and the Southern Ocean. Located about 170 kilometres south west of Melbourne and just 10 minutes north of Apollo Bay, Wongarra offers visitors a lovely coastal location close to all the amenities of the larger coastal towns.
Wongarra lies midway between the Surf Coast and the famous Shipwreck Coast and there are many attractions in between including the 12 Apostles, surf beaches and swimming spots. There is also several bush walks in the area where you have the opportunity to see some of the local wildlife including koalas and wallabies.
