About Howqua
Howqua is a popular destination for fishing, tubing, swimming on the beautiful Howqua River which is located on the Northern side of the town.
The Howqua River is considered one of the cleanest rivers in Victoria. Located about 30 minutes from Mt Buller ski resort it is an ideal off snow accommodation option.
Enjoy walks with spectacular views, with some of the High COuntry's best tracks for hikers, mountain bikes, horse riding, 4wd's or off road bikes. If water sports are more your style then Lake Eildon is about 15 minutes away.
Howqua is also close to local wineries and there are some excellent restaurants in nearby Mansfield.
