Fentonbury is located about 72 km
The town was named after Michael
Fenton who had large hops farm located on his
estate Fenton Forest.
There were thirty tenants living
on the Estate as well as a post office, general
store, sawmill and school (which finally closed
Fentonbury is the ideal destination
for exploring the famous Russell Falls. Located
in Mount Field National Park there is a wide variety
of scenic walks, from a short 20 minutes to a
full day. The most popular walk is the two hour
circuit walk to Russell Falls, Horseshoe Falls,
Tall Trees Circuit and Lady Barron Falls.
