About Bridport
Bridport is known for its safe secluded

Places to Visit
Bowood
Bowood is a Georgian stone, brick and pit-sawn
timber dwelling, built in 1838. It is the oldest
building in the district and was built by an ex-convict
carpenter and an American stonemason. Bowood is
located 12 km north of Bridport
Bridestowe Estate Lavender
Farm
The Bridestowe Estate Lavender Farm which is one
of the world's largest single commercial lavender
farms and produces the finest quality lavender
flowers and lavender oil, used traditionally in
the perfumery industry.

Bridport's Summer average maximum
is 23 degrees Celsius and the Winter average is
12.5 degrees Celsius.
Getting There
Bridport is easily accessed with
about 1 hour, 85 kilometres drive on the on the
B81 and B84 north-east of Launceston.
