Blackwood Creek is a delightful,
small, farming settlement in the hills that fringe
the Great Western Tiers, about 20 kms west of
Cressy.
The name Blackwood Creek comes
from the Blackwood tree which is used for the
production of high quality furniture.
Blackwood Creek was once uses as
a resting place by drovers during their annual
summer grazing on the rich Central Plateau.
